KEC, also known as DTM, is a World War II military transport-landing ship that was sunk on the route between Piran and Strunjan. The wreck is situated 2.9 kilometers north of Cape Madonna in Piran, at a bearing of 16 degrees east. Information about the wreck is scarce. It is known to have belonged to the Italian army and was likely sunk in the spring of 1945. Divers can access the wreck through a small, challenging opening on the right side or a larger opening on the left side; entry is recommended only for experienced divers. The upside-down position of the wreck offers a unique experience, allowing divers to swim through almost its entire length. It's crucial to manage buoyancy carefully due to the presence of silt. The wreck is home to numerous fish, and occasionally lobsters or conger eels can be seen. Visibility varies significantly, ranging from 0.5 to 10 meters, and currents are usually very weak. The wreck lies at a depth of 19 to 23 meters.
